Ijaw Women under the aegis of Ijaw Women Connect, (IWC) Worldwide, has congratulated Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State over his victory at the recently held govership polls in the state.

The Ijaw women who said Dickson’s victory at the polls was joy to the Ijaw people, described the outcome of the poll as a victory well deserved.

In a joint statement by IWC President, Comrade Rosemary Naingba and National Secretary, Comrade Ebisidor Bribebe, the group said: “This victory is the reaffirmation of the trust and confidence that Bayelsans have reposed in the governor’s ability to deliver as exemplified by his sterling qualities, his enviable performance and profound commitment to the development of our dear state and the entire Ijaw Nation.

“We pray that God Almighty shall continue to guide, direct and protect you in the onerous task of serving our people.”
