OLEH—NDOKWA youths, under the aegis of Ndokwa Youths Alive Progressive Forum, NYAPF, yesterday, demanded the immediate release of their National President, Mr. Ozegbe Adoh, describing his arrest on allegations of involvement in the November 14, 2015 vandalism of the Independent Power Plant, Okpai, as embarrassing and humiliating.

Adoh, it will be recalled, was apprehended Tuesday night, by men of the Special Anti-Kidnapping squad of Delta State police command at Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State while with some friends at a parlour joint on Isumpe Road.

Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Celestina Kalu, had said that the Nigeria Agip Oil Company had, in a petition on  November 19, 2015, reported the vandalism of the power plant situated at Okpai in Ndokwa East Local Government Area, saying that  Adoh was a fleeing prime suspect.

But NYAPF, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Azuka Odanike, said: “The Police did not invite him officially but started with shooting at him. Why should a defenseless Nigerian be treated that way?”
