Edo State has put measures in place to check the spread of Lassa fever.
Executive Director, Media and Public Affairs, Governor’s Office, Mr. John Mayaki, stated this after monitoring the first environmental exercise for the year in Benin metropolis.
A statement from his office said the monitoring of the exercise commenced as early as 7 a.m. from Ring Road, Benin-City and ended at Ramat Park.
Speaking on the steps taken by the state government, Mayaki noted that part of the measures was the ongoing fumigation of markets across the state.
