Ex-militants in the Niger Delta and Ijaw youths have warned that should anything happens to the man that called attention to alleged diversion of money meant for the acquisition of land for Nigerian Maritime University at Okerenkoko, Chief Micheal Johnny, the Ijaw traditional rulers and leaders know those to hold responsible.
The ex-militants at a briefing in Yanagoa, Bayelsa State, yesterday, said Johnny’s stance on the alleged diversion was not an offence for which his life should be threatened, adding, “The God of truth would protect him.
“We are aware of threats to Johnny’s life, and we are calling on those plotting such to have a rethink because the consequence could be disastrous and regrettable, as killing a fellow human being is an offence before God and the law.”
