ASABA—DELTA State Deputy Governor, Mr Kingsley Otuaro, has commiserated with the Itsekiri nation on the demise of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II.
Otuaro, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Doris Aboh, said the death of the Olu was a big loss, not only to Nigeria, but also to the entire black race, judging from his antecedent as a first class traditional ruler and his input to the unity of the nation.
While urging the immediate family of the Olu and palace chiefs, as well as the Olu designate, Prince Godfrey Emiko, to see the demise of the Olu as an act of God, he noted that the late Olu left a legacy of peace and ethnic harmony.
Otuaro also commiserated with the state vice chairman of traditional rulers council, Dr Emmanuel Efeizomor II, and all traditional rulers in the state and enjoined them to take solace in the fact that their chairman died in Christ and made a positive impact while alive.
