Lagos—President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption and plans to probe the last administration has been described as a step in the right direction towards repositioning the country.
Giving this assertion during a press briefing to herald the 90th anniversary of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, yesterday, the Supreme Head of the church, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao, expressed dismay over clamour by a group of Nigerians against the anti-corruption war.
Represented by the Chairman, National Executive Council of the church, Special Apostle Olusesi Sowande described the out cry by the group as mere distraction.
He said: “The Church is fully in support of attempt to probe past misdeeds. We have read and seen some people saying the probe of the past administration is a witch hunt by the Federal Government. To say the least, this is laughable. How on earth would anyone be afraid of being probed when you have left office?
