Felix Anyansi-Agwu, chairman Enyimba FC of Aba, is a happy man. The man who led the Aba-based side to lifting the CAF Champions League twice is happy with the tremendous progress his club is making in the on-going Premier League season, but he was quick to add that they (Enyimba) are still not there yet .
In as much as the league is burning hotter with competitors, Anyansi believes it is not over yet, till they lift the Premier league trophy and secure the ticket to play the money spinning CAF Champions League.
According to him, the team which currently on top of the elite league, can only succeed if they continue to strive harder.
“So far, the success of the team has been as a result of team work, players’ commitment, the technical crew input and support from Abia State governor Theodore Orjiâ€.
“Enyimba is doing well but not that they have done what is expected . We thank God for what has been happening in the club. The players have been putting up their best and that for now seems to be satisfactory.
“Governor Orji on the other hand has been of great support to the team. In all we have been working as a family that has been working for us. But one thing is also clear, that the competition is still on with stronger opponents. I don’t think we can boast yet. If we continue to do well, I don’t see anything team stopping us from winning the league this season,†he said.
