The last batch of 2011 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia by Med-View carrier arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos recently.

There are unverified claims by some users of micro-blogging site, Twitter, that the Nigerian government through relevant agencies planned to use old aircraft for this year pilgrimage exercise.
Using the hashtag, #NoToOldPlanes4Hajj, they called on President Muhammadu Buhari and other bodies to intervene. However, Vanguard online cannot independently verify this claim and there are efforts to get the official reactions of relevant agencies.
