ASABA—SUSPECTED armed robbers have shot dead a 23-year-old girl, Favour Ogun, after robbing her of N30,000 cash at Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State.

The deceased was returning home at about 9pm when two armed men accosted and shot her dead.

She was rushed to Ogwashi-Uku General Hospital for medical attention, but gave up the ghost.

Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP, Celestina Kalu, said, in a statement, yesterday: “On receipt of the report, detectives swung into action and arrested one Chuks Ojie, aged 25, of Azungwu quarters, Ogwashi-Uku in connection with the crime.

“Investigation is in progress, while efforts are on to arrest the other fleeing suspects.”
