Jos—Reactions have continued to trail the recent bomb attacks in Jos and the female suicide bombings in Kano, Potiskum, Gombe.

Recent reactions came from the member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives, Mr. Bitrus Kaze, and a former Secretary to Plateau State government, Mr. Ezekiel Gomos.

According to Kaze, “the military campaign against Boko Haram insurgents has of recent yielded huge successes, thanks to the new military hardware and the professionalization of the military by President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

“The recent visit to the war front by President Jonathan was a morale booster for our hitherto ill-equipped troops.

“Many Nigerian towns captured by the insurgents have already been retaken by our troops; we are very optimistic that Nigeria’s territorial integrity will be fully restored in no distant future.

“Now that the terrorists are being overpowered, they may return to guerrilla warfare tactics. As the rains begin and farming activities commence, we must all watch and pray against terrorist incursions, especially in the nights.

“I wish to call on citizens, especially in Jos and Plateau states in general not to be carried away by the successes of the military campaigns; Plateau remains their favourite target.

“I sympathize with and condole the families, friends and well wishers of all the victims of the recent bomb blasts in the Bauchi Road area of Jos. May the good Lord grant them the fortitude to bear these gruesome losses.”

He charged the people to remain vigilant and take every precautionary measure to safeguard the lives and property of their individual households.

Similarly, the former SSG on behalf of the Conflict Management Regional Council, CMMRC, Plateau State, expressed sympathy to the people of Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole over the terrorists’ attacks that claimed the lives of innocent Nigerians.
