lagos—THE governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been presented with the party’s flag with a mandate to lead the PDP’s campaign and ensure victory for the party in the February general elections.

President Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu presented the flag to Hon. Ugwuanyi and other governorship candidates of the party at the flag off of the PDP National Campaign Rally in Lagos yesterday.

Ugwuanyi was elected as the PDP gubernatorial flagbearer at the December 8, 2014 primary election held in Enugu State.

Speaking with newsmen after receiving the flag, Hon. Ugwuanyi thanked the party and the people of Enugu state for the confidence reposed in him and assured that he would consolidate on the current gains and take the state to the next level of development.
