The President of Association of Retired Military Graduate Officers of Tertiary Institution of Nigeria, ARMIGOTIN, has joined other Nigerian to console former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida over the death of his wife, Maryam.

Speaking to reporters in Lagos, the President, Prince Alfa Rowland, said: “Mrs. Babangida was a woman of personal candour and charm who brought life to rural women in Nigeria through her pet project, Better Life for Rural Women. The pet project did not only touch the life of rural women but Nigerians at large.”

According to Rowland, who hinted that Gen. Babangida is the grand patron of the association, said: “With her death, Nigeria has again lost one of its greatest women of intelligence and a philosopher.”
