ALTHOUGH consumers are relying more on their smartphones to engage with brands, consume content, and make purchases, debates have been raging on which smart phone is popular in different markets of the world.

Each of these of this Original Equipment Manufacturers, OEMs including Nokia, Samsung, Huawei Sony LG , BlackBerry while unveiling new products at the MWC claimed market supremacy.
While growth in the smartphone market has now shifted to emerging markets that are more price sensitive and value conscious, market share has come down to a two horse race between android, Apple’s iphone and windows each battling for supremacy.
As technology evolves, cheaper smart phones are also part of the connecting-the-unconnected equation that Mark Zuckerberg spoke about in his keynote address at the Mobile World Congress. It is obvious that in the near future, all phones will be smart.
Despite new flagship phones announced by Sony (the Z2) Samsung (the S5), Huawei, (the Ascend G6 4G) Nokia X series, BlackBerry Z3, among others, one clear was that smartphones are only developing by increment. Some of the flagships launched at the GSMA MWC are not limited to the following:
Samsung S5:
At the event where the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Dr. Eugene Juwah, had a rare privilege of addressing the cream of the global telecom stakeholders at the Ministerial Programme, Korean smart phone maker, Samsung at their exhibition stand tickled visitors with Galaxy S5, giving customers technology that will improve their lives. One of the unique features of the new product is water and dust resistance capability.
The product which will be available globally through Samsung retailers, e-commerce shops and operator channel in April 2014 is powered by a 2.5GHz quadcore processor with the quickest auto focus camera function.
Huawei unveils Ascend G6 4G:
The new 4G LTE-enabled smartphone brings ease of use back to smartphone ownership and opens up a world of fun and colorful new ways to stay connected without boundaries.
