Oyo PDP warns against frustrating reconciliation

BY OLA AJAYI

IBADAN – A factional chairman of Oyo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, has warned against jeopardising the peace move embarked upon by the leadership of the party.

He said this in Ibadan while urging all members of the party to embrace the steps being taken by  President Goodluck Jonathan and the national chairman of the party,  Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.
He specifically warned the other faction within the party to avoid making inflammatory statement that could further fan embers of disunity.

He also advised all members of the party to be wary of castigating prominent leaders of the party.

He acknowledged that there were three factions of the party in the state noting that unless all the factions were reconciled and fresh congresses conducted to produce a new set of party executives acceptable to all shades of interests, the electoral fortune of PDP would be affected in the 2015 elections in the state.
