BENIN CITY — TRAGEDY struck, yesterday, at Iwu junction, after Ekiadolor, on Benin Lagos express road when three persons lost their lives in a road accident involving many vehicles.

The crash was said to have occurred at about 9a.m., which according to an eye witness, involved a black Toyota Landcruiser Sports Utility Van, SUV, and an ash coloured Volkswagen Golf car marked SMK 404 BZ.
Both cars were coming from the Lagos end of the road and a Toyota Vanette bus painted in the yellow and red, Edo State commercial vehicle colour, with registration number USL 324 SD.

The casualties were said to be in the bus conveying staff from the Edo State Ministries of Agriculture and Environment (forestry officials) as its occupants, and was driving against the traffic.
It was gathered that the SUV while trying to overtake the car had a head on collision with the on coming commercial vehicle.
