Born with the view to help Nigerian teenagers develop a mind-set that will enable them locate their potentials early enough in life, publishers of 9nineteen, a life coaching magazine, recently partnered Lagos State Ministry of Education (District 3 Eti-Osa), in educating teenage girls on better approach to achieving  their desired dreams.

Under this arrangement, the event with the theme: Groom the teen girl-child, which was held at Saint Gregory’s Primary School Hall, Falomo, Lagos, charged participants, who were mostly females, to ensure that they sustain charismatic and eloquent personalities that would grow their individual capabilities in resolving some national issues.

Educating them in the self management/life application processes to achieving the three important etiquettes to becoming embodiments of public relations, which are, Business, Social and Image, 9nineteen’s Chief Responsibility Officer, Mrs. Umeseaka, advised they refuse every association that is capable of dragging them into inappropriate behaviour that could mar their self esteem.

She said: “It is imperative that you be able to exercise control over your life, by not allowing any Personal idiosyncrasy to mar your skill, thereby, affect your productivity.”
Also unveiling the benefits of being able to build oneself to achieve self recognition, she further charged them to hold on tight to things that would only provide them better aspects of accomplishment, noting that the survival of any entity lies on the youth and most importantly, women, who are too important to be fragmented in any given society.

Describing the exercise as a better approach to curtailing many of the nefarious activities perpetrated by teenagers, and also a good framework to fully educate teenage girls on the dangers of self denial, the District Director, Lagos State Ministry of Education district 3, Mrs.Sufianu, tasked parents to ensure that they strongly support and engage in efforts towards assisting teenagers to locate and develop their potentials for a better Nigerian economy and a violence-free society.
