Lagos — Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, yesterday, slammed the Federal Government over the mismanagement of N2.3 trillion allegedly missing oil subsidy funds from the Federation Account, saying such fund would construct 80 Lekki link bridges across the country.

This came barely few weeks after Governor Rotimi Amaechi of River State alleged that $5 billion was missing from the Excess Crude Account, ECA.

Fashola made the remarks at the 7th Town Hall Meeting on security, entitled, ‘Sustaining Local Response To Rising National Security Challenges,’ on Victoria Island, Eti-Osa Local Government Area, which also had in attendance Special Adviser to the President on Media, Dr. Rueben Abati; Chief Molade Okoya-Thomas, among others.

Speaking earlier, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, Mr. Umar Mankko, who spoke on the continuous detention  of Abiodun Ebenezer Ogunjobi, a.k.a Godogodo, explained that the notorious armed robber was still being interrogated to garner more facts.

Mankko, while speaking on the activities of the police in preventing crimes in Lagos, said that the intervention of the fund had helped to reduce armed robberies to 54 cases in the last one year.
