The 2013 African U17 qualifier between Nigeria and Guinea in Calabar will now kick off on Sunday by 2 pm local time.

The match was shifted forward from the usual 4 pm kick-off to 2 pm at the instance of the Guinean delegation who wish to return to Lagos immediately after the match on Sunday in order to connect their early Monday morning flight back to Conakry.

The NFF granted the request of their Guinean counterparts since they would have to wait till next Friday if they miss their already scheduled arrangement.

Meanwhile, Golden Eaglets coach, Manu Garba, has stated he is not concerned by the changes in kick off times for the match , adding that he has prepared his team in case of any eventuality.

“Even if they say we should play on Friday, we are ready for this match,” Manu confidently said.

“We are not worried about when this match is going to be played. We have adequately prepared for any possible occurrence and I can say with assurance that we are ready to play Guinea anytime.”

Chadian ref for Eaglets/Guinea match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have appointed Chadian match officials for the game between Nigeria’s U-17 national team and their Guinean counterparts with Mahamat Tahir Oumar as the Centre Referee.

He would be assisted by the trio of Yaya Issa (1st Assistant Referee), Mahamat Badjouri (2nd Assistant Referee) and Cordier Adam (Reserve Referee). The Match Commissioner is Yunisa Alim Sesay from Sierra Leone.
