As conversations around mental health continue to evolve in an increasingly digital world, experts are calling for a more authentic and trauma-informed approach to emotional wellbeing.

It was against this backdrop that Dr. Ruchi Mishra Sharma emerged as one of the prominent voices at the London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD) grand event held at the University of Oxford.

Hosted at the prestigious Saïd Business School and the Examination School on May 2, 2026, the LOSD triple-event showcase brought together more than 250 delegates from over 45 countries. The gathering featured the LOSD Skills Live Show 2026, the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026 and landmark publishing launches, creating a platform for global conversations centred on leadership, innovation, resilience and human potential.

At the heart of discussions on the human experience and emotional wellbeing was Dr. Ruchi Mishra Sharma, a medical doctor and trauma-informed healer who is increasingly recognised for her work at the intersection of clinical medicine and psychological empowerment.

Dr. Ruchi was invited to serve as a Skills Live panellist during the opening session, participating in Panel 1 titled “Digital Life and Mental Wellbeing.” In an era defined by increasing screen time, virtual interactions and the pressures of constant connectivity, she shared insights into how individuals can preserve psychological balance while navigating the complexities of modern life.

Drawing from her unique dual expertise as an NHS Medical Doctor and a Certified RTT Clinical Hypnotherapist, Dr. Ruchi addressed the challenges associated with maintaining mental wellbeing in a digitally saturated environment. She emphasised the importance of reconnecting with one’s authentic self and advocated for trauma-informed care as a critical component of healing and personal transformation.

As the founder of Freedom and Empowerment Hypnotherapy with Ruchi, she spoke candidly about the role of subconscious reprogramming in helping individuals overcome anxiety, limiting beliefs and the emotional burdens of contemporary living. Her contribution resonated strongly with participants seeking practical and compassionate approaches to mental wellness.

Dr. Ruchi’s appearance at the Oxford summit builds upon a growing list of international recognitions that reflect her contributions to healthcare and empowerment. She is a Fellow of the International Institute of Organisational Psychological Medicine (FIIOPM) and a Fellow of Accredited Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (FACCPH), credentials that underscore her commitment to bridging clinical medicine with psychological wellbeing.

Recognised among the Most Admired Global Indians in 2025 and honoured with the Hoinser Award for Extraordinary Leadership, Dr. Ruchi has dedicated much of her work to encouraging women to embrace authenticity, healing and self-discovery.

Her podcast, “The Best Version of You,” has become a platform for meaningful conversations on growth and transformation, featuring distinguished guests and cultivating a global community committed to conscious living. She also contributed her expertise to SkillsCast, the official LOSD Podcast, further extending her message of empowerment to international audiences.

At the heart of her professional journey is her role as a conscious parent to her toddler son, an experience she credits with shaping her empathetic and compassionate approach to healing and supporting others.

Beyond the panel discussions, Dr. Ruchi actively participated in the day’s VIP networking engagements and joined the VIP inaugural parade. She was also among the distinguished guests who witnessed the unveiling of LOSD Publishing House’s latest literary projects, including the launch of “A Book of Happiness” and the prestigious coffee table publication, “26 Game Changers of the Year 2026.”

Her entrepreneurial drive was equally evident throughout the event. Dr. Ruchi hosted a dedicated business stall at the Saïd Business School during the daytime sessions and later at the exclusive Evening Cocktail Gala held at the Examination School, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with her work and explore her holistic approach to wellbeing and empowerment.

The significance of the occasion was further reinforced by the presence of eminent dignitaries who joined Prof. Dr. Parin Somani, Chief Executive Officer of LOSD, in celebrating excellence and the advancement of human potential.

The distinguished guests included Cllr Louise Upton, The Worshipful Mayor of Oxford; Cllr Dr. Sunny Lambe, The Worshipful Mayor of Southwark; Cllr Anjana Patel, The Worshipful Mayor of Harrow; Cllr Tushar Kumar, The Worshipful Mayor of Elstree & Borehamwood; and Cllr Smita Rajesh, The Worshipful Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford City.

Dr. Ruchi Mishra Sharma’s message of authenticity, healing and empowerment is expected to reach even wider audiences through her appearance on SkillsCast and an upcoming feature in London Elite Magazine.

As societies continue to grapple with the psychological implications of life in the digital age, her work serves as a reminder that true wellbeing extends beyond symptom management. It requires authenticity, compassion and the courage to address the deeper experiences that shape the human condition. Through her advocacy and practice, Dr. Ruchi continues to encourage individuals not merely to cope with modern life, but to thrive within it.
