Limi Children’s Hospital organises perinatal symposium for healthcare experts in Abuja

Healthcare professionals across Nigeria are expected to converge in Abuja this Friday for the Abuja Perinatal Symposium (APS 2026), a major academic and clinical gathering focused on improving maternal, fetal, neonatal, and perinatal healthcare outcomes.

Limi Children’s Hospital, the organiser, said the symposium will provide a platform for evidence-based learning, practical training, and multidisciplinary collaboration among experts committed to advancing newborn and maternal care in the country.

The event is scheduled to hold on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Merry Makers Event Centre, Abuja, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

With the theme, “Optimizing Maternal & Neonatal Outcomes,” APS 2026 is expected to attract paediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, nurses, midwives, trainees, and other healthcare professionals from across the medical field.

According to the organisers, participants will benefit from expert-led scientific sessions, practical case-based discussions, and hands-on Paediatric Basic Life Support (PBLS) training designed to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Attendees will also receive current updates in neonatal and perinatal care, five Continuing Medical Education (CME) points, certificates of participation, as well as opportunities for professional networking and collaboration.

The organisers encouraged healthcare professionals to register and take part in what they described as an impactful learning experience aimed at strengthening neonatal and maternal healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
