*Endorses President, Hamzat for Lagos gov

A mobilisation platform championing the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, the Renewed Hope Network, TRN, have stated that they will hold a grand congregational prayer for Nigeria and the President, as part of its strategies to mobilise nationwide support for his re-election.
According to the group, the event which is scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 10 2026 at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, will attract over 55,000 participants from geopolitical zones and faith based organisations serving as a solemn platform for intercessory prayers for the nation, as well as guidance and strength for President Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking during a press conference held at the TRN headquarters, Ikeja, the Director-General of TRN, Oyinlomo Danmole stated that the group will formally endorse President Tinubu for a second term at the event, as well as Dr Obafemi Hamzat as the next governor of Lagos State, in recognition of his capacity, vision, and proven commitment to the development of Lagos State.
Danmole stated that President Tinubu had “demonstrated bold leadership through far-reaching reforms in the economy, infrastructure, education, social investment, security architecture, and national productivity” under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking on the forthcoming prayer event, he stated that the leaders of the constitutionally recognised Christian and the Muslim religion had been invited, adding that other stakeholders and dignitaries would be present.
Speaking on security at the event, the DG said that adequate provisions had been made noting that the entire security architecture of the Lagos state, crowd control and traffic management teams, as well as security and private guards will be available to ensure safety at the event.
He stated that TRN was intensifying mobilisation efforts to perform well at the 2027 elections.
He said: “The Renewed Hope Network (TRN) is not a conventional political organisation but a community based mobilisation platform dedicated to Networking the Grassroots. Our mission is to directly engage with ordinary Nigerians in their languages, respecting their cultures and traditions, while localising the Renewed Hope Agenda in every ward, polling unit, and community across the country.
“Our primary objective is to mobilise strong nationwide support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027. Beyond elections, TRN seeks to promote civic participation, national unity, political inclusion, and good governance through structured grassroots engagement.
“As part of our strategic programmes, the Renewed Hope Network will hold a grand Congregational Prayer for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday, May 10, 2026. This epoch-making event is expected to attract over 55,000 participants from all walks of life, geopolitical zones, and faith-based organisations. It will serve as a solemn platform for intercessory prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of our dear nation, as well as for divine guidance and strength for President Tinubu’s administration.
“At this historic gathering, the Renewed Hope Network will formally and unequivocally endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term as President of Nigeria. “We will also proudly endorse Dr. Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State, in recognition of his capacity, vision, and proven commitment to the development of the Centre of Excellence.
“Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated bold leadership through far-reaching reforms in the economy, infrastructure, education, social investment, security architecture, and national productivity. These reforms, though demanding in the short term, are repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and shared prosperity.
“The Renewed Hope Network remains fully committed to sustaining this vision. Going forward, we shall intensify our grassroots mobilisation efforts, continue our community outreach programmes, and deepen engagement with youths, women, market associations, artisans, farmers, and traditional institutions nationwide.”
I’m addition, he said: “We therefore invite all well-meaning Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion, or political affiliation, to join us on May 10, 2026, for this Special Congregational Prayer.
“Let us come together in faith and unity to pray for our President and our country as we prepare to take the Renewed Hope Agenda to greater heights.
“Together, we will network the grassroots, strengthen our democracy, and build the Nigeria of our dreams.”
