EHA Pharma, in collaboration with Pharmaplus Nigeria and eHealth Africa, has launched RxBook, a digital medicine and pharmacy decision-support platform, at Pharma West Africa.
The platform was unveiled as part of efforts to address longstanding challenges in pharmacy practice, particularly limited access to timely and reliable drug information at the point of care.
Industry experts say many pharmacists still depend on multiple sources, including printed materials, which often lack real-time updates on drug recalls, interactions and evolving clinical guidelines.
RxBook is designed as a centralised, continuously updated solution, enabling healthcare professionals to search medicines, check drug interactions, access clinical guidance, receive recall alerts, report adverse drug reactions and manage procurement within a single workflow.
Speaking on the rationale behind the platform, Founder of EHA Group, Adam Thompson, said the tool was created to bridge the gap between knowledge and practice.
“Across healthcare, we consistently see a gap between information and action. The knowledge exists, but it’s often fragmented across systems that don’t connect. RxBook was built to close that gap — by bringing critical information into one place, so it can be used in real time, where decisions are actually made,” he said.
Also speaking, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pharmaplus Nigeria, Ahmad I. Yakasai, highlighted the importance of collaboration in developing the platform.
“What makes this different is not just the product, but the thinking behind it. When you bring together practice, distribution, and technology, you start to solve the problem properly,” he said, adding that RxBook “is built around how pharmacy actually works, and it gives you clarity at the point where decisions are made.”
During a live demonstration, Vice President of Business Development at EHA Clinics, Abdulkareem Iyamu, described RxBook as a “decision layer” within pharmacy practice.
“It connects information, validation, and action in one continuous flow — so from the moment you search, you can verify, decide, and move immediately,” he said.
Built for Nigerian healthcare settings, the platform integrates local drug data, pricing and availability, and is designed to function both online and offline.
Stakeholders at the event engaged with the platform through live demonstrations and onboarding sessions, marking the beginning of its broader rollout.
