Uyo – The Nigeria Christian Civil Chaplain Corps (NCCC) has called for a spiritual and moral reawakening among citizens as a means of addressing rising insecurity and fostering national unity.
Chaplain Daniel Joe Alimi, Corps Commanding Officer of NCCC, made the appeal in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, emphasizing the corps’ commitment to complementing national security efforts through spiritual intelligence and community engagement.
Alimi, who is also the convener of the National Security Prayer Summit, said, “National development must be anchored on righteousness, unity, and collective responsibility. Nigeria can rise above its challenges through a combination of spiritual revival and strategic leadership.”
He added, “Transforming the nation is not just a political process. It’s a spiritual responsibility. When we align our hearts with God and our actions with purpose, national restoration becomes inevitable, for Nigeria is a sovereign nation under God, as enshrined in our Constitution. Through faith in action, we are calling the nation back to its divine purpose and collective destiny, leading a national, spiritual, and patriotic movement for security, peace, and moral reawakening in Nigeria.”
The NCCC reiterated its resolve to work alongside national security structures while mobilizing communities to embrace spiritual and moral values as a foundation for lasting peace and stability.
