The Action Alliance (AA) has launched a digital membership portal designed to modernize political participation in Nigeria, aiming to enhance transparency, inclusivity, and grassroots engagement.

The platform, unveiled on Tuesday in Abuja, enables Nigerians to register as party members online and receive instant digital membership cards, removing the delays associated with manual registration processes.

Speaking at the launch, National Chairman Bar. Udeze Kenneth described the initiative as a historic milestone for the party. “We are not just building a political party; we are building a movement that puts the people first,” he said. He noted that any Nigerian with a mobile phone can now join the party easily, reflecting AA’s commitment to accountability and grassroots participation.

Developed by Augustine Ugbede Thomas of Stinet Digital, the portal features instant digital membership cards embedded with unique QR codes for verification during party events, rallies, and voting exercises. Phone number-based authentication and National Identification Number (NIN) verification enhance security and prevent multiple registrations.

The system covers all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, mapping down to Nigeria’s 774 local government areas and polling units to ensure nationwide participation. Real-time membership counters display current registration statistics, promoting transparency within the party.

Members benefit from instant access to digital membership cards, voting rights in party primaries, invitations to events, and the ability to update personal profiles online. Party administrators can access dashboards to search, verify, and analyse membership data efficiently.

Thomas explained that the platform is designed to be user-friendly while supporting millions of users, with future upgrades planned, including SMS notifications, digital campaign tools, event registration with QR code check-ins, payment integration, and a mobile application.

The AA stated that the digital portal aligns with its broader vision of modernising Nigeria’s political processes, encouraging youth participation, and strengthening internal party democracy.

“This system represents the future of political participation in Nigeria—transparent, inclusive, and accessible to every citizen with a phone,” the party said.
