Nigerians dedicated to proactive risk management in both the public and private sectors will be honoured at the upcoming 8th Nigerian Risk Awards and Summit, NRA, scheduled for later in the year in Lagos.
This year’s summit, themed “Anticipatory Governance, Risk, and Foresight: Preparing Nigeria for a Resilient and Inclusive Future,” aims to serve as a beacon for collaboration, learning, and excellence within the realm of risk management.
During a recent virtual conference, Bola Johnson, Managing Partner of Conrad Clark Nigeria Limited, emphasised the importance of anticipatory governance in today’s dynamic global and economic challenges.
“Our partnership with the office of the Vice President underscores the urgency and necessity of integrating anticipatory governance and national risk exposure into our policymaking and business strategies,” Johnson stated.
He continued, “The 8th NRA highlights the critical need to cultivate public understanding of these concepts. By providing valuable insights and recommendations, we aim to prepare Nigeria for future challenges through advocacy, policy reforms, and robust public education.”
The summit will not only feature an engaging awards ceremony spotlighting exceptional achievements in risk management but also include a variety of activities designed to foster dialogue and innovation.
“We are excited about the thought-provoking panel discussions and keynote addresses that will take place,” said Johnson. “Moreover, our innovation showcase will highlight cutting-edge solutions that are pivotal for the future of risk management.”
Key industry stakeholders such as CEOs, risk managers, government officials, and representatives from academia and the technology sector are expected to attend the event. The summit will also offer specialised workshops and training sessions aimed at enriching attendees’ knowledge and skills.
Entries for the awards opened on February 1st and will close on April 24th, allowing ample time for organisations and professionals to submit their nominations.
Johnson noted, “There is a diverse target audience, and we are keen to see participation from industry associations, financial institutions, insurance and pension companies, and more.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available for organisations seeking visibility among key stakeholders and a commitment to excellence in risk management. “We invite all committed entities to join us in this significant celebration of risk management achievements,” Johnson concluded.
