In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, Ranto Clothings has announced a major social impact initiative: a free professional tailoring training program for 50 young women.
The program, launched on March 8, 2026, is designed to equip participants with practical tailoring skills, business knowledge, and mentorship support empowering them to build sustainable income streams within Nigeria’s fashion industry.
According to Bright Urhobo, Creative Director of Ranto Clothings, the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to inclusion, economic empowerment, and long-term industry development.
“Fashion gave many of us a future. This training is about passing that opportunity forward. When you empower a woman with a skill, you empower a family and a community,” Urhobo stated.
International Women’s Day is globally recognized as a time to celebrate women’s achievements and advocate for gender equality. For Ranto Clothings, the 2026 observance goes beyond symbolic recognition.
The free training initiative will provide:
• Hands-on tailoring instruction
• Pattern drafting and garment construction training
• Industrial machine exposure
• Business and pricing fundamentals
• Mentorship from experienced professionals
• Post-training support guidance
The goal is not only skill acquisition but economic independence.
Strengthening the Local Fashion Ecosystem
Nigeria’s fashion industry continues to expand, creating opportunities in design, garment production, retail, and export. However, access to structured training remains a barrier for many young women with limited financial resources.
By removing tuition costs, Ranto Clothing is lowering that barrier.
The initiative aligns with the brand’s broader mission to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s garment manufacturing value chain. Over the years, Ranto Clothing has executed large-scale institutional contracts across banking, security services, education, and cultural sectors — demonstrating operational strength and production capacity. This social initiative represents the brand’s investment in the next generation of fashion professionals.
The 50 selected participants will undergo structured training designed to move them from beginners to income-ready artisans. The long-term objective is to enable graduates to:
• Launch independent tailoring businesses
• Secure employment in fashion production houses
• Join Ranto Clothing’s extended production network
• Contribute to local garment supply chains
By equipping young women with practical skills, the initiative directly supports economic resilience and entrepreneurship.
Ranto Clothing welcomes partnerships with organizations, development agencies, and corporate bodies interested in supporting female economic empowerment initiatives. The brand believes that collaborative efforts are key to creating sustainable impact at scale.
Through its International Women’s Day 2026 initiative, Ranto Clothing reinforces its commitment not only to fashion excellence but also to community development and women’s empowerment.
