WARRI — The Unlisted Ex-Militant Leader in the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Phase 3, popularly known as General Marshall of the Green Landers Justice Mandate (GLJM), has hailed the Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, on his conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LL.D) degree by Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo.
In a press statement personally signed by him and made available to newsmen in Warri, General Marshall described the award as “a well-deserved recognition for Tompolo’s unmatched contributions to education, security, and youth development in the Niger Delta.”
General Marshall recalled Tompolo’s pivotal intervention in the establishment and takeoff of the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU), Okerenkoko, noting that Tompolo not only provided the initial campus at Kurutie but also built a 250-room hostel to support the institution’s early growth.
He also commended the work of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, saying the company’s operations under Tompolo’s leadership have significantly curtailed crude oil theft and restored confidence in Nigeria’s oil corridor.
According to him, the latest honour—coming after NMU conferred an Honorary Doctorate on Tompolo in 2023—reinforces his image as “a beacon of hope and a dependable pillar of development in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.”
The GLJM leader prayed for God’s continued guidance and strength on Tompolo and urged him to remain steadfast in promoting peace, stability, and development across the country.
