Nigerian tech entrepreneur and founder of Ocean Trends Digital Limited, Amb. Damilare Ajiboye, has been honoured with the Tech Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Global Visionary Leadership Summit 2025, held in Abuja.
Themed “Beyond Authority: Building Influence and Trust as a Leader,” the summit brought together prominent personalities from government, business, and civil society to explore how innovation and integrity can drive Africa’s growth.
The event was convened and hosted by Amb. Dr. Chinwe Lillian, with notable figures in attendance including Senator Shehu Sani, Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande, HRH Mrs. Omu Onyebuchi Okonkwo, Fafa Gozo, Dame Dr. Mary Anne-Mensah, Dr. Khadijah Musa Sadiqah, and Hon. Zinab Buba Galadima (CFR), among others.
Ajiboye, who also served as a panelist during the summit, shared insights on leadership, innovation, and youth empowerment through technology. His address emphasized the role of Africa’s young innovators in shaping digital transformation across the continent.
“Technology is not just about creating tools, it’s about building trust, empowering people, and driving collaboration,” Ajiboye said while receiving his award. “Africa’s progress depends on how we use innovation to solve real problems and uplift communities.”
According to the organizers, the Tech Entrepreneur of the Year Award was presented in recognition of Ajiboye’s outstanding contribution to Africa’s technology ecosystem through Ocean Trends Digital, a software development company creating impact-driven digital products across sectors including fintech, education, and enterprise solutions.
The Global Visionary Leadership Summit remains one of Africa’s most influential gatherings for leadership and innovation. It provides a platform for changemakers to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and inspire the next generation of leaders committed to shaping a better Africa.
