The governor gave this charge in Calabar, during the swearing-in of the Chairman of Bekwarra Local Government Area, Mr. Linus Ede, and the Clerk of state House of Assembly, Mr. Bassey Ekpenyong.
He urged the duo to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their individual duties as their contributions to the development of the state.
Imoke noted that the ceremony was important for governance because local government areas played an important role in the realisation of the programmes of the state government meant to better the lost of the people.
He commended the Speaker and leadership of the state House of Assembly for their cooperation and excellent performance of the legislature, noting that with the appointment of the Clerk, the Assembly will be more focused.
