UGHELLI—NATIONAL Chairman, Urhobo Political Movement, UPM, Chief Ominimini Obiuwevbi, yesterday, said the governorship position in Delta State would not be zoned in 2015.

Obiuwevbi, in a statement, said: “The state governorship position from 1999 till date has not been zoned to any district,  and 2015 shall not be different.

“Whoever believes that aspirants for gubernatorial election in 2015 shall be disqualified simply because they are from a particular district, is far from the political reality. What applied in the past shall equally apply in 2015.

“Whoever has the best programme and is able to attract supports of the highest members of delegates shall emerge candidate of the party in 2015.

“I make bold to say that the current Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, state exco under the leadership of Mr. Peter Nwaoboshi, will not serve any district or ethnic agenda. The exco shall be fair to all concerned.”
