After dedicating three decades to the Lagos State Government Educational Authority, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ojo chapter, and Vice Principal of Administration at Lagos State Government Senior Secondary School, Ijanikin, Comrade Tajudeen Olatubosun Oladipupo has officially bowed out, bringing his illustrious career in education to a close. As a full-fledged Director of Education at Level 17, Oladipupo has made significant contributions to the educational landscape in Lagos.

Throughout his 30 years of service, Oladipupo’s commitment to fostering quality education and advocating for teachers’ rights has earned him a respected place among educators and policymakers alike. His tenure was marked by numerous initiatives aimed at improving teaching standards and enhancing student learning experiences across the state.

Speaking at a farewell ceremony and 60th birthday celebration attended by colleagues, students, and community leaders, Oladipupo expressed gratitude for the years spent in service. “It has been a fulfilling journey, and I am grateful for the support of everyone I have worked with over the years,” he said. “Together, we have made strides in education, and I hope the legacy continues.”

As he steps away from classroom and administrative responsibilities, Oladipupo looks forward to spending time with family and pursuing personal interests. His retirement marks the end of an era in Lagos education, but his influence and commitment to teaching will surely resonate for years to come.

The grounds of Lagos State Government Senior Secondary School buzzed with excitement on a sunlit afternoon as parents, students, and distinguished guests gathered to honor a cherished educator—Comrade Tajudeen Oladipupo. The event, held in the heart of the school’s compound, was a vibrant celebration of a teacher whose influence has stretched far beyond the classroom.

Presiding over the event was Mr. Hassan Dauda Abiodun, Treasurer and Permanent Secretary of Education District V, who captured the mood perfectly as he addressed the crowd from an elegantly decorated podium.
