In a significant achievement for young African talent, 21 exceptional learners from the ALX Pathway programme have been awarded the prestigious scholarships from the Mastercard Foundation to further their studies at the African Leadership College of Higher Education ALCHE. Notably, seven of these talented scholars hail from Nigeria, underscoring the nation’s reputation as a hub for aspiring leaders within ALX’s transformative educational framework.

The ALX Pathway programme serves as a vital stepping stone to global universities and scholarships, equipping Africa’s future leaders with essential skills and expansive career networks. “At ALX, we believe that unlocking Africa’s potential starts with unlocking the potential of its people,” said Oluwapelumi Thomas, Learning Community Experience Specialist at ALX Nigeria. “The success of these learners in securing scholarships to ALCHE through the Mastercard Foundation is evidence that talent, when nurtured with the right opportunities, knows no bounds. We couldn’t be prouder.”

The Nigerian scholars awarded the scholarships include Ayomide Samson Ajayi, Effiong Immaculata Emmanuel, Hanif Olayiwola, Chigozie Emmanuel Ndubuaku, Peace Chidinma Chukwuka, Chibuzor Moses Uzowuru, and Chisom Obueze Louisa.

These Mastercard Foundation scholarships will cover full tuition and stipends, enabling recipients to pursue a world-class education at ALCHE.
