The Christian Youth Forum (CYF) has praised the Dangote Group for reducing the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N990 to N970 per litre, describing the move as a much-needed relief for Nigerians during the Christmas season.

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja and signed by its President, Rev. Joshua Pam, the CYF expressed optimism that the reduction would ease transportation costs, lower the prices of goods and services, and provide financial relief to citizens struggling with the high cost of living.

The forum lauded Aliko Dangote, the founder of the Dangote Group, for his selfless contributions to the welfare of Nigerians. It emphasized that the price cut would positively impact Nigerians, particularly as the festive season approaches.

The CYF also commended Pastor Enoch Adeboye for encouraging prayers for the Dangote Group, particularly in support of its efforts to run the nation’s largest refinery.

The statement read, “This reduction in fuel prices will significantly impact Nigerians, particularly during the Christmas celebrations. It will reduce the cost of transportation and production, leading to lower prices for goods and services.”

The forum called on other businesses in the petroleum sector to follow Dangote’s example by reducing their prices, urging the industry to contribute to easing the financial burden on the populace.

“We welcome this relief, which will help many Nigerians struggling due to the high cost of living, and we urge other stakeholders to emulate the Dangote Group’s example for the benefit of all Nigerians,” the statement concluded.
