Multi-talented Nigerian gospel singer, Mrs Modupe Raohael-Ogbe, has named veteran CeCe Winas and evangelist Bola Are as her role models.
Modupe Ogbe, a pastor and Provincial musical director at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), displays uncommon grace as a gospel music minister and instrumentalist. Unlike many of her female contemporaries, Modupe Ogbe, comfortably ministers to the Lord in signing while playing the keyboard simultaneously. Likewise, she is an expert saxophonist.
Also known as Dupe Ogbe by her fans and followers on social media, Mrs Ogbe demonstrates unparallel divine enablement and anointing whenever she mounts the podium to minister to the Lord and edify the church. It is not surprising, however, considering the evidently working grace of God in Winas and Are.
Modupe Ogbe, married to Pastor Raphael Ogbe, is mother of two adorable children, who are currently studying in the university. She is not just passionate about her God-given assignment and the church, she is so
conscious of going to heaven which could be deduced as the reason for her choice of role models.
“To the glory of God, I have seen some role models in the music ministry, like CeCe Winas, who is one of the people I greatly admire, given the technicality in doing the assignment that God has given to her.
” In Nigeria, we have great minstrels who have moved in different generations and in our generation they are still there. I greatly admire mummy Bola Are”, added Modupe Ogbe
One of the most difficult things in life is discovering God’s purpose for one’s life here on earth. But with Modupe Ogbe, it was one of the easiest things to unravel. After giving her life to Jesus Christ and dedicating everything to him as a child, her unquenchable passion for God has been burning unreservedly ever since.
“To the glory of God, the Lord has laid it to my heart and I have been singing for over three decades. I started as a young child and all these while, I have been in the music industry to the glory of God. I am convinced that this is what God has called me majorly to do, to serve him as a music minister,” said Modupe Ogbe.
Continuing, she said, “I discovered the gift of singing as a child right from the children’s church, I gave my life to Christ as a young child, about 11 years old and I joined the children choir, not intentionally but I love music and gradually the zeal became more intense ,the love for God to serve him through music became deeper. And since then, up til now to the glory of God, I have been serving God, I’ve been using the grace and talent the Lord has given me in the music ministry”.
