The construction of 305 units of modern block of classrooms in Imo State has become a subject of litigation as the construction company, Roche Construction Nigeria Ltd., has been dragged before a High Court of Imo State over breach of agreement.
In the suit instituted by two Irish businessmen, Patrick Mcdermott and Cormac Harten, they were asking the court to compel Roche to pay them the sum of N44 million being the fee agreed by the parties as their facilitating fee for the construction of the 305 units of modern school blocks from the state government.
Joined as defendants in the suit were the the state commissioner for education, the education ministry and the state Attorney-General.
Meanwhile, the claimant has asked the court to grant summary judgment against the company on the ground that it had failed to enter defence into the case having allegedly severed relationship with the claimants.
