The Peoples Democratic Party, Saturday,  cemented the candidature of its flag-bearer in the Bayelsa State governorship poll, Seriake Dickson, with the formal unveiling of his running mate,  Rear Admiral John Jonah (rtd).

Presenting the running mate to PDP members and supporters at the party secretariat in Yenagoa, Dickson said the choice of Jonah was the outcome of wide consultations as well as fervent prayers shortly after the November 19 primary election.

He said though there were several qualified Bayelsans to choose from, “the lot fell on John Jonah to be my running mate in the gubernatorial election.

Performing the formal unveiling, the state chairman of PDP, James Dugo described Jonah as “an amiable and dynamic deputy governor”.
