The Federal Government has relieved the three Executive Directors of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) of their duties.
They are Ms. Aina Egharevba (Marine and Operations), Engineer Yusuf Haruna (Engineering and Technical Services) and Mr. Tola Atekoja (Finance and Administration). They were appointed in May 2007 (and reappointed in November 2007 upon the merger of NPA Western Port and NPA Eastern port into a single entity) alongside NPA’s immediate past Managing Director, Mallam Abdul Salam Mohammed.
The government did not appoint their replacements. Their tenures expired on November 11 this year though they could have been reappointed.
