Ondo reads riot act to civil servants

AKURE— CIVIL Servants in Ondo State have been warned against leaking official documents classified as secret to politicians.

The Head of the Ondo State Civil Service, Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu speaking in Akure, said, dare consequences await civil servants caught engaging in such act.

Kudehinbu said that any civil servant in the state caught in the act of leaking official documents illegally to politicians after receiving bribe, would be disciplined according to the rules and regulations guiding the civil service.

He said: “The season of politics is here in Ondo State, no matter what, no matter the temptation, I am warning civil servants in this state, don’t divulge government secret under any circumstance.

“These politicians that you give government official secret to, may like you while you are doing it but they will not respect you.

“Any civil servant that leaks official secret may not get to the the top of his or her career because the politicians you are giving official documents to, today, will first suspect you in case there is any leakage when such politician gets to power.”
