LAGOS—Policemen attached  to the  Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji-Adele, Lagos, have arrested a man in connection with the mysterious disappearance of a 55-year-old businessman, three months ago, in Lagos.

The Delta-based businessman, Lucky Ose,  reportedly went to Benin Republic to purchase a vehicle, in the company of his driver, one Bamidele Akinbare, on September 27.

But apprehension set in three days later, after he did not return to his base in Delta State. When his family dialled his number, report said a strange person picked the phone but did not respond to their questions.

Spokesman for the family, Jacob Ose, told Vanguard that when their brother’s driver was contacted, he claimed to have seen him (Lucky) off to the car park where he was to board a vehicle to Delta State on September 29.

“Since then, there has been no call from any one, indicating whether he was kidnapped,” Jacob Ose added.

The police were contacted, following which Bamidele was arrested.

During investigation, Bamidele, who was said to have initially admitted seeing his boss off to the park, reportedly contradicted himself.

The case, according to the policemen, was still under investigation.
