NIPOST partners eTranzact on Cashless Policy Initiative

In line with ‘Cashless policy’ initiative, Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) has partnered with eTranzact International Plc to ensure successful implementation of the policy across the country.

The partnership positions NIPOST as a financial institution that will deliver epayment services to Nigerians. According to Mr. Yashim Isa Bitiyong, Deputy Postmaster-General, NIPOST, “The introduction of this range of financial services at the Post Office counters will enhance NIPOST service delivery and customer satisfaction.”

Mr. Bitiyong also stated that the scheme will boost CBN’s cashless policy initiative as it will operate on cashless basis using eTranzact electronic payment platform.

eTranzact provides a range of world-class epayment solutions that offers cardholders secured, convenient and discount services at over 3,000 merchant outlets nationwide using the Genesis card. The eTranzact Genesis Card is a highly secured card as it leverages on the eTranzact Strong Authentication (ESA) solution. The ESA is a one-time dynamic PIN generated through the cardholder’s mobile phone or web account which gives authorisation before any transactions can be processed.

Mr. Adeyemi Adeyemo, Group Head, Business Development of eTranzact said: “This partnership will give cardholders access to epayment services anytime, anywhere. NIPOST has over 1,500 outlets nationwide and with this partnership we have brought epayment services closer to Nigerians.

With the Genesis card, cardholders can transfer money to loved ones at NIPOST outlets, purchase airtime TopUp, pay their Cable TV bills and POSTPAID bills for any network, pay school fees, book airline tickets at discounted rates and so many other services without going to the bank.”
