The Ex-Rangers International Footballers Association, Enugu has commended the Anambra state Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, for his initiatives in the effective development of sports in the state, especially on the areas of infrastructural development.
The ex-football stars were particularly happy with Governor Obi for the completion of two mini stadia in the state and the restoration of schools sports, noting that through these initiatives, many sporting talents would be discovered in the state. The group also congratulated Governor Obi for the recent award of the National Honour of Commander of Order of Niger (CON) on and described it as the recognition for his selfless patriotism and undiluted service to the country.
In its congratulatory message signed by the Chairman, Mr. Luke Okpala and Secretary, Mr. Bonny Uzoh, the association expressed the belief that the award is a testimony to his sacrifice and invaluable contributions towards nation building and welfare to humanity, especially in Anambra State.
They said they had been following with keen interest the efforts he was making to develop sports in the state and expressed gratitude to him for being their grand patron, benefactor and well wisher and prayed God to continue to reward him.
