THREE members of  a robbery gang that have been in police wanted list for long were last week arrested by detectives attached to Ilembe Hausa police station recovering arms and ammunition.

Crime Alert gathered that the suspects were arrested after the police, acting on information, raided the area and arrested the robbers at various hideouts along Ojo-Igede road, Ajamgbadi.

A police source who gave identities of the suspects as Anayo Sunday, Olarewaju Precious, and Saheed Rasheed, said they were apprehended without much confrontation. He further stated that plans have been on going to trap these suspects until they met their waterloo.

The robbery suspects were found to be in possession of one locally made double-barrel shotgun, three live cartridges and one jack knife.

Police public relations officer, DSP Samuel Jinadu confirmed that the suspects are presently undergoing interrogation and have been aiding the police with useful information.
