THE newly elected chairman of Tisun Management Council, in Warri North Local Government Council of Delta State, Mr Emmanuel Tunuwaje, has assured oil companies operating in the area of the cooperation of members of the community in their operations.
Tunuwaje, who made the promise shortly after he was sworn-in by the chairman, Elders Council of Tisun, Pa Ebi Omaejalilea, expressed gratitude to the Olu of Warri, for his fatherly role in resolving the crisis that engulfed the community and assured of his readiness to always uphold the constitution of the community.
While urging oil companies operating in the community of the support of the new exco, he urged them to perform their responsibilities to Tisun so as to enjoy harmonious relationship with the host community.
In a letter addressed to the management of Chevron Nigeria Limited, dated October 2, 2011, the community told the company of the new leadership in Tisun, stating that the leadership came in place after the crisis in the community was resolved by Ogiame Atuwatse II.
