Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has called on Igbo people living outside Igboland to protect the interest of their own at all times.

Okorocha, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant, SSA, Lagos Liaison, Nkeiruka Sylvanus, when executive members of Igbozurume Association, Lagos branch, paid him a courtsey visit in Lagos, pointed out that it was through togetherness that Igbo could achieve their goal.

He pointed out that his administration would always promote ventures that would take care of the welfare of its citizenry, adding that his administration had embarked on people-oriented programmes aimed at uplifting the socio-economic life of the people.

The governor, however, commended them for coming together under one body, and encouraged them to be their brothers’ keeper.
