UGHELLI- MANAGING Director of Midwestern Oil and Gas Company, Mr. Adams Okoene, has expressed the readiness of management to promote the company’s safety culture and help  protect the environment of its host communities in line with the company’s Health and Safety Envi-ronment, HSE, policy.

He commended the people of Utagbogbe-Kwale in Delta State for creating a conducive environment for the company to achieve its safety policy and deliver on its core mandate.

Okoene stated this at the Umusadege Field located in Oil Mineral List, OML 56, Delta State, during the commissioning of an operational office, staff quarters and award presentation to various departments of the company.

He said the company’s operations in Kwale had been a huge success story.

He said: “At Mid-western, we shall not produce oil and gas at the expense of the lives of our people. HSE and production are equal on the weighing scale.”

While thanking the host community for their cooperation, he said the company would recipro-cate the gesture, adding that the prevention of death, serious injury and ill-health occasioned by violation of the company’s safety policy, remains a core priority of the company.
