LAGOS- As the controversy over the removal of fuel subsidy rages, President Goodluck Jonathan has been advised to seek for the wisdom of God as Nigeria is too large to be ruled by political wisdom.

General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission International, Rev. Obiora Ezekiel, who gave the advise at the third edition of the church’s “Back 11 Bible Conference” with the theme: “Glorious Divine Nature,” in Lagos, weekend, urged political office holders to go back to the compass of life, which he identified as the wisdom of God.

Obiora who decried the many challenges of insecurity and corruption facing the country, said that for President Jonathan to succeed, there was need for him to seek the wisdom of God and knowledge on daily basis.

Admonishing the President to humble himself and not make any decision in a haste regarding the fuel subsidy, he said “God is aware of what is happening in Nigeria. The Nigeria Labour Congress is labouring in vain until they understand that they are on earth to work for God. Nothing will happen without passing through the hands of God. If God permits removal of fuel subsidy, it will happen. The will of God will be done. I advise the President to allow the will of God to happen.”

He accused the church of deviating from directing the leaders and the people right through the word of God, he reminded Nigerians in authority that challenges are inevitable, but they should not allow the many challenges to discourage them from leading the nation right.

While appealing to the President not to allow the devil to sow seed of discouragement, he charged the Church to let the people know the truth because if God did not govern a nation, the governors are governing in vain.
