IKEJA—Nigerians have been urged to have a better and brighter vision for the country despite its current crises.
Presidential candidate of Fresh Party, Rev. Chris Okotie, said this, yesterday, at a special Independence thanksgiving service at his church, Household of God Church, Lagos.
He said without vision and hope, Nigerians cannot have a better tomorrow, adding that it was important for the people to renew their hope in the nation.
Okogie said the challenges facing the country will soon evaporate, pointing out that Nigerians should allow the vision of a better tomorrow envelop them rather than always criticise the nation.
He said:“We must all have vision for Nigeria; without it, we cannot have a better tomorrow in Nigeria. It is this vision that will carry us along as we are always looking at the vision.”
On the crises in parts of the country, Rev. Okotie assured that the country will get better if Nigerians shun tribalism, nepotism and other vices.
Okotie prayed for peace in the land, while assuring Nigerians that new things would happen in the country.
He also prayed that God should position men and women that will restore Nigeria to its rightful position, adding that Nigeria was blessed with enough human and material resources but “what is lacking is how to utilise these resources for the benefit of the masses.”
