Global businesses committed to healthy initiatives – Aig-Imoukhuede

Group Managing Director/CEO of Access Bank Plc and Co-Chair of the GBC-Health, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, has reiterated the commitment of the business community to ensuring a healthier world and in the promotion of healthy living in workplaces across the world.

Speaking at the Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative, GCI in New York, United States of America, Aig-Imoukhuede said that the Global Smoke-free Worksite commitment is a global multi-sector partnership comprising private sector companies, non-governmental organisations, governments and inter-governmental organisations which aims at increasing the number of employees that are able to work in a smoke-free environment through innovative strategies such as leveraging the impact and reach of supply chains.

Aigboje’s announcement is a demonstration of the global health body’s resolve to a healthier world and promotion of healthy living in workplaces across the world.

Participants at this year’s event include Mr. William. Clinton, the 42nd President of the United States of America, Regina Benjamin Surgeon General, U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson, King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Jordan and representatives of the American Cancer Society, Johnson and Johnson, Mayo Clinic, the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids amongst others.
