Last week, I taught on the fundamentals of supernatural breakthroughs. This week, I will teach  on how to prove the validity of divine guidance.

God is committed to leading us if we are committed to following Him (Isaiah 48:17-21). This is why only the meek enjoys divine guidance. Man is a creature of choice. God created man and placed him in a garden of affluence, and He said to him, “…Eat freely of every tree but of that one at the centre, you shall not touch. The day you touch it, you will die.”

Now, why did God plant it there? It is just to prove that man is a creature of choice and his choice is key to his future. So, making the right choice is key to a great future. God will never force His will on anyone. He is the Source of right choice. The right choice can only come from one source – God, our Father.

Divine vision is the platform for our supernatural enlargement (Isaiah 48:19). It destroys all barriers on the part of the visionary. It guarantees the gushing out of water, even in the midst of a desert (Isaiah 48:21).

Proving the validity of divine guidance:
Peace: Watch out for the peace of God that passes all knowledge. So, when God is leading you, peace flows like a river on your inside (Isaiah 48:18).

Supernatural Insight: Every vision enjoys supernatural insight. He directs you to things that will empower you to deliver. He inspires you to access relevant information that will distinguish you (Psalm 45:3-5).

Unquenchable Zeal: Every vision is accompanied by unquenchable zeal. Every vision is like fire shut up in our bones (Jeremiah 20:9). Every true vision drives the visionary irresistibly (Phil. 1:21). Every true vision is like a dynamo in the system of every visionary; he can’t stay. “For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me” (Ps. 69:9). Every vision puts the visionary on the run. You are propelled to stay on the move. There is an inner drive that puts you on your feet.

Divine strength: Every divi-ne vision is accompanied by divine strength to match. God called Gideon and said, “Go in this thy might. Have not I sent thee?” (Judges 6:14). When God sends, He endues with strength to match the task. Jesus carried unusual strength because He was in the centre of God’s agenda for Him. Remember, He said: “I can of my own self do nothing.  As I hear, so, I judge (John 5:30).

Supernatural favour: Watch out for supernatural favour. Every true vision enjoys divine favour. Every time you are on key with Divine agenda, divine favour accompanies it.  From a captive, Nehemiah became a governor. Favour is it!

The liberty of Spirit: Watch out for the liberty of Spirit. Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is leading, there is liberty in your spirit. So, when there is no liberty in your spirit, don’t fake it or you will regret it (Acts 20:20-23).

Watch out for liberty of the spirit when you are going to invest in a business. It is not enough to be in the spirit, we must learn to work in the spirit. We must engage the barometer of our spirit in appraising any major issue of our lives. Galatians 5:25 says: “If we live in the Spirit; let us also walk in the Spirit.”

It is very important for us to learn how to walk in the spirit, so we can access and appraise accurately the leading of the Lord in our lives. When there is no liberty of spirit, there is danger ahead. You need a spirit-man that is alive, active and well.

Unstoppable joy: Watch out for unstoppable joy. Every true vision is accompanied by joy, inexplicable joy. People will be wondering at what is exciting you. You can’t see anyone that sees a future and he is depressed. Vision keeps you excited because you are living the reality of your future in the now! You can’t see a future and not rejoice (2 Timothy 4:7-8).
