Following the standings on the medals table at the on-going All Africa Games in Maputo and Nigerian conspicuously missing at the top, Former Bauchi State Commissioner of Sports, Sani Ahmed Toro has charged the Nigerian team to finish second.
“My expectation for Nigeria is that they come second on the table at the close of the Games. proceedings, anything less than that would not be good for us a country. The games have just started and the sport where we have strength has not gotten to medals stage, so we all should just wait till the end of the games.
“But the way things are going now show that we still have more work to do in sport development. We need to spread our horizon to sports, where we have chances to excel,” Toro said.
